Santa Fe, NM Bans Plastic Bags

Santa Fe, NM, August 27, 2013 (PBBR) – The City Council of Santa Fe, New Mexico, the oldest capital in the United States, tonight voted 7-1 to approve the Single-Use Bag Ordinance.

The issue of plastic bags has been discussed for several years. The idea was first brought up by Councilman Chris Calvert many years ago. The idea came to fruition tonight.
